The Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department located in Oconee County, SC and services approximately 13,000 residents. With 36 members the fire department responds to an average of 250 calls per year. The fire department, founded in 1963, has received a lot of support from the local community over the years and is looking forward to serve the community for many years to come as it grows. Covering the Highway 123, Old Clemson Highway, and Shiloh Rd. corridors outside of Clemson, we anticipate major growth in the area between Clemson and Seneca over the next few years and have done everything in our power to prepare the department for moving forward and anticipating the growth.

To manage this anticipated growth, the department recently purchased the old schoolhouse located on Shiloh Rd. to build a substation. We are currently trying to raise the funds to renovate the school house and preserve the majority of the original building since it has be a fixture in the Shiloh Community for over 100 years. We would like to put two double length bays behind the existing building to house the trucks and equipment needed to provide quicker response times. This would add safety and security to the Shiloh area of our district.  We are looking for any assistance you may be able to help us with preserving this piece of history and provide a better service to this community.

Many factors play in to the goals of any fire department as to why they exist and why the members do what they do. The members at Corinth-Shiloh are dedicated to making our fire district one of the leading fire districts in the county, the state and the country. We also provide a service to many young men and women, and offer them a family when they are attending a university away from their own family. We believe that every person that has at one time been a member of our fire department has moved on to be a better person because of their experience within the department. Please help us help our community in any way that you can so that we may be able to continue this mission of molding young men and women, building a safer community, and assisting our fellow men and women when they need help the most.

Sincerely,

Nathaniel R. Carver
