Training
Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department is committed to having the highest trained firefighters in Oconee County. To accomplish this goal we participate in training through the SC Fire Academy, Homeland Security, National Fire Academy, and other sources. In addition to this training we also hold a minimum of two trainings per month at our station on the third Monday at 19:00 and the following Saturday at 10:00.
We use a mix of classroom and hands on training to maintain our skills at the highest level. Our training includes situational training (i.e. low-angle ropes rescue and auto extrication), use of tools (i.e. Turbo pumps and Hydraulic Tools) and emergency procedure training (i.e. Hazmat and Helicopter Landing Zone staging).
Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department meets all OSHA training requirements and strives to meet ISO requirements to accomplish the best rating for our community. By improving our ISO rating, we help reduce insurance premiums homeowner's pay.
